Nut and. Raisin Bread. Two cups flour, two teaspoons Ed- { mond’s baking powder, quarter tea- a spoon salt, scant, teacup milk, half cup . chopped walnuts,, three or four ounces raisins, half cup warm syrup. Sift together dry ingredients, add walnuts and raisins, then liquid; mix well and j put in greased bread tin. Let stand 20 g minutes, then bake about one hour in moderate oven. 0 Walnut Bread Three cups flour, three-quarters cup P brown sugar, three teaspoons Edmond’s baking powder, one egg, one cup milk, two ounces butter, one cup walnuts. one and a-half tablespoons golden c syrup, pinch of salt. Alix dry ingredi- J" ents together. Cream butter and '■ sugar, mix in syrup and egg beaten; ' and dry ingredients, chopped walnuts. * and lastly milk to make fairly stiff J dough. Bake one hour in moderate k oven.
