CHARMING HOMES
CHINA AND CRYSTAL ART China and crystal undoubtedly add charm to any home no matter whether it be the small bungalow of those who are just starting in life together or the home of the woman who wishes to surround herself with an atmosphere of charm. In New Zealand the name of Bates has been associated with attractive china and crystal for the last 57 years. Carrying on the traditions of that name, Nr. Sidney C. E. Bates commenced business in Palmerston North some years ago and many Wanganui homes are proud of the fact that they have Bates’ china that is as attractive to-day as when it was first purchased. Recently Mr. Bates moved to Wellington where he has a large display in attractive setting in Victoria Street. This display is one of the sights that visitors to Wellington should not miss seeing as it gives a pleasing idea of the modern trend in china and crystal art. For those who love beauty in the home time spent at the Bates’ display will be a pleasure that will last for many yeara.
