UNION ACCEPTS OFFER [ Per Press Association. ] AV ELLINGTON, May 7. The secretary of the Wellington Watersiders’ Union announced this morning that the offer received by the union yesterday had been accepted, subjeet to confirmation by tho New Zealand Watersiders’ Federation. He did not disclose the terms of the offer, but said that he was of opinion that there would be no further cause for complaint. He added that the allegations of a go-slow policy were hardly fair, as the men had been working abnormally fast for some time and had merely revferted to normal working conditions. The weather had also been responsible for much of the delay.
