WOOL SEASON
VALLE OF TOTAL SOLD BIG INCREASE RECORDED [ Per Press Association. I WELLINGTON, May 5. The New Zealand Woolbrokers’ As sociation reports that the total quanti ties of wool submitted at the New Zealand auctions this season were 768,933 bales, of which 737,454 were osld, the total realisation being £9,840,427, an increase of £5,439,417 on the amount received for wool sold during the 1934-35 series of New Zealand auction sales. The precise returns for the past three seasons, as furnished by the New Zealand Woolbrokers’ Association are as follow: 1933- —Wool sold, 633,553 bales: value, £10,241,041; average price per bale, £l6 3s 3.469 d; average price per lb, 11.127 d. 1934- —Wool sold, 471,512 bales; value, £4,401,010; average price per bale, £9 6s 8.118 d; average price per lb, 6.498 d. 1935- —Wool sold, 737,454 bales; value, £9,840,427; average price per bale, £l3 6s 10.5084; average price per lb, 9.144 d.
