OHINGAITI

VALEDICTORY MR. AND AIRS. W. WILLS A large and widely representative gathering met in the Town Hall, Ohingaiti, on Monday evening for the purpose of bidding farewell to Mr. and Airs. W. Willis. Air. Wills, who for the past ten years has served the residents of the district as lorry driver for the Rata Dairy Co., has made many fiends by his willingness to assist the suppliers in many ways. In making a presentation to Mr. and Airs. Wills of an envelope of notes, Air. J. B. AlcKnight, on behalf of the residents of the district, expressed the sense of loss at the departure of one who had been always so cheerful and willing in his occupation and so very obliging in many ways outside his usual duties. Air. Wills, who was greeted with musical honours, feelingly replied. The evening was enjoyed by all, dancing being continued till midnight. Items were rendered by Messrs. J. B. AlcKnight, D. L. Jackson and A. Charles, and supper was served by the ladies’ committee. Music for the dances was supplied by Mesdame* T.rcvena, Wereta and IDalziell and Aiessrs. A. Linton and D. Potaka. COLLIE CLUB J.93G TRIALS COMAIENCE The 1936 trials of the Ohingaiti District Collie Club commenced yesterday in fine weather.
