SOCIAL AND DANCE A social and dajicc was held by the Women’s institute, in the local hall last Friday evening, tfiiere being a large attendance of residents and visitors. Butler’s Orchestra supplied the music for dancing, and several extras were played by Hector McKinnon. A play (“Aunt Lizzie c Friend”) was given by the members of the Women’s Institute,. those taking part weie: Eileen Mullins (Alatha the maid), Pattie Capstick (Mrs. Snob-Cranston), Ida Alatthews (Stella Soaring), Aladgc Alurray (Airs. Soaring), Nora Ellery (Airs. Jcffcrson-White), Alolly Ellery (Aliss Wimple), Airs. Ayrets (Aunt Lizzie), Airs. Robinson (Mrs. Parrington). Two pianoforte duets were gracefully rendered by the Alisse-s Francis and Alysie Anderson. Two songs were sung by Alics Nellie Alasters, wlhich were greatly appresjated. Airs. Budding, of Halcombe, kindly contributed two humorous recitations, and Aliss Joy Ellery also entertained with a recitation. The winners of the Alonte Carlo dance were Miss M. Teague and Air. Alurray, the epot waltz, Aliss Eileen Alullins and Air. G. Frecklingtoa. Alost games at cards wore won by Airs. Dickson and Air. D. Capstick, the run-ner-ups being Airs. Natzke and Air. W. Robinson.
