PICNIC AND SPORTS Tlh.e Ohakca W.l. held their picnic and sports at Tangimoana on February It was an ideal day, there being a good muster of mcinbcn* and friends. After having lunch on the river bank, all went to the ocean beach, where the sports were held. The winners of the races weret— Children syrs.: Jean Koberstvin 1, Bob Henderson 2. Eight years: Shirley Sadler 1, Lorraine Henderson 2. Girls, lOyrs: Nora Sadler 1, Audrey Gapstick 2. Boys, lOyrs.: Peter Matthews 1, David Matthews 2. Young Ladies* Race. Misses P. Capstick 1, and E. Mullins 2. Young Married Ladies’ Race: Mrs. D. Capstick 1, Mrs. Koberstcin 2. Ladiets’ Race: Mrs. Natzke 1, Mrs. Frecklington 2. Men’s Race: Mr. D. Capstick 1, Mr. J. Capstick 2. The relay race was won by Mr. Matthews and Miss Mullins. All went home tired but happy, a r ter an enjoyable day’s outing. PERSONAL Mrs. Murray and her daughter, Jean, returned, home to day, after a year s (holiday, spent in Scotland. Mr/G. Richardson, of Hamilton, is staying in Ohakca prior to his marriage to Miss Esme Simpson, which takes place shortly.
