UNDER SEALED ORDERS
SAILING SHIP'S MYSTERIOUS CRUISE PROBABLY- INCLUDES AUCKLAND Received Jan. 13, 12 midnight MELBOURNE, Jan. 1?. Carrying a party of scientists and botanists, the Joseph Conrad, the only British full-rigged sailing ship afloat, which arrived at Melbourne last week after sailing round the world on the route of Cook’s Endeavour, will leave at the end of the week on a mysterious Pacific cruise. Mr. A. J. Villiers, owner and master of the little vessel, said to-day that he was sailing undsr sealed orders and would not know his destination till at sea. It is believed the cruise includes Auckland and alse> that the. intention is to sheek gold on certain Pacific Islands.
