ARAMOHO

The Aramoho Union hold their annual meeting in St. David’s Church on Thursday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of members and friends. The vice-president was in the chair and welcomed back the president, who has been away for some time through ill health. Apologies wore received from Mesdames Parker and Sanderson. Devotions were led by Mrs Chcsswas, the theme being “Be not weary in well doing. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was road and received. Christmas cheer parcels were received and will be forwarded before Christmas to a needy case in our district. It was also decided to send greetings to the Jubilee Home at Christmas. Two solos by Mrs Moss, and an elocutionary item -by Miss Eileen Sanderson, were much appreciated. The secretary’s annual report was read and showed a successful year of activity. All superintendents of departments gave their various reports. The cradle roll has been increased by 18 names. It was moved and seconded that a letter of thanks be .sent to Miss Marshall, district evangelistic superintendent. The competition for the month was won by Mrs Richards, with Mrs Hamer second, tne.se two ladies gaining first and second for the points prize. ’The retiring president was then presented with a. beautiful bouquet of roses bv Mrs Hamer. The election o e officers took place and resulted as follow:—president, Mrs Crosswas; vice-presidents, Mesdames Hallam and Gilmour; secretary and reporter, Mrs 11. Good; treasurer. Mrs F. Dempster; civile roll, Mrs Sleight; White Ribbon agent, Mrs A. Walker; evangelistic superintendent, Mrs Greig; sick visitor, Mrs Hamer; afternoon tea, Mrs Real, tompetitions, Mrs Richar'.! 0 . cloth secretary, Mrs Harner; pianists, Mesdames Tizard and Nichol son. The meeting closed with the Beno diction and afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Gilligan and Walker.
