VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE END TO MR. VEITCH'S MEETING. AMENDMENT GETS SUPPORT. The political meeting in the Opera Hones last night addressed by Mr. \V. A. Veitch, Democrat candidate for Wanganui, ended with voices declaring themselves in favour of an amendment of “no c(nfidence in the candidate.” Mr. A E. Halligan was in the chair, and after a number of questions had been asked and answered, Mr. John Morrison, who was seated in the front row of the dress circle, rose to propose a vote of thanks.
