THE HOURS OF POLLING
Polling booths open to-day at 9 a.in. and close at 7 p.m. Each elector will be handed ballot papers on which the names of the candidates appear, and also the three issues in the liquor poll. They will be required to strike out the names of the candidates or the issues for which they do NOT desire to vote, leaving untouched that which they are supporting. Ballot papers must be placed in the boxes provided for the purpose and will be counted after the poll closes at 7 o'clock. All postal votes must reach the returrmg officer before 7 o’clock. • The ' Chronicle” and Herald have arranged a broadcast service to be give i from the Drill Hall to-night. This wil’ open immediately the booths close and will provide the public with a. running description of the election, both locally and on a Dominion-wide basis.
