CRICKET FIRST COMPETITION GAME Ohingaiti took a weak team to Rangiwahia during the week-end and were defeated Sn the first game of the first round of the Rangi-Oroua SubAssociation’s competition, by an innings and 19 runs. The match was commenced between showers but the weather cleared after lunch. Ohingaiti were z far from comfortable on the wet wicket of which they were forced to have first use, and were dismissed for 18. Rangiwahia replied with 95, of which L. Pawson hit up 31 in fine style and H. Trueman 20. Ohingaiti’s second knock produced 58, Burton with 24 being the best. The following are the individual scores:— Rangiwahia.—J.
