NEW WIRELESS STATION
A TENDER HAS BEEN LET AUSTRALASIAN FIRM. MAST 700 FEET HIGH. ( Per Tress Association. ) WELLINGTON, Aug. 30. Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia) Limited were the successful tenderers for the sixty-kilowatt broadcasting station to be erected at Titahi Bay, Wei lington, for the New Zealand Broadcasting Board. The single mast will be 700 ’feet high and the aerial system is to be on the 8.8. C. umbrella type, similar to .1 YA and the new 4YA. It. is expected that lhe new station will be operating before the end of 1936.
