HOCKEY. On Saturday the school hockey tcamis played at I'eilding in the school tournaments. The girls 10.-t the Cart hew Ruse Bowl after a two extra spells had been played, Tokorangi winning by a hit over the line the score being one all. L Sadler scored for Ohakea. The hoys were sijccessfiil in winning the shield for the first lime. la the first game they defeated .Manchester B by 3 goals to nil, D. Ellerv scoring all the goals. In the second round they defeated Manchester A by 2—l, K. .Mullins scoring both goals. The final was played against Tokorangi and Ohakea won by I—o. PERSONAL Airs. B. Brown and family (Palmerston North) are the guests of Air. A. J Simpson. Masters Graham AlcElroy ami Marcus Tozer, of Taumarunui, are the guests of Airs. J. Simpson. Miss N. Masters is spending a week with relatives, in Ashurst and Bunnythorpe. Hospital reports sta-te that there Is no improvement in the condition of Mr. Frederick Garner, who was injured ' at the Makowhai camp last week. ( | Aliss Al.
