Atack, when the bolding of the in.ter-Island e : ght-oared race was discussed at a meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Rowing Association last evening. It was decided to press for the abo-
lition of the race. It was decided to have placed on the order paper for the annual meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Association a remit to the effect that the race be abolished as serving no purpose and as of no interest.
