FATAL MOTOR SMASH
WELL-KNOWN WOMAN KILLED [ Per Press Association. | WAIPUKURAU, July 18. A fatal motor smash occurred at Hatuma this afternoon, when skidding in loose metal on a coiner on the Hatuma Road a car driven by Miss Hilda Ellen Peacock crashed into a bank. Miss Peacock, who was well-known throughout Hawke’s Bay, was fatally injured, and a passenger, Mrs. W. B. Fisher, suffered injuries which necessitated her removal to the Waipukurau hospital. The car was extensively damaged.
