FARMING IN RUSSIA
STOCK BREEDING PROGRESS. A G R EAT IMPRO VEM ENT. MOSCOW, Feb. 4. M. Chernov, the Agricultural Commissar, reports a great improvement in stock breeding. The number of cattle on January J, 1935, had increased 31 per cent., compared with January J, 193.3, hogs ILS per cent., sheep and goats 11 per cent.. The Government plants provision for 70,000 new collective cattle breeding farms in 1935.
