OTAMAKAPUA SCHOOL DANCE The final function of the series of dances organised by the (Jtamakapua School Committee and held throughout the winter was the occasion of a happy gathering. A good number of dancers from the surrounding district attended. Alusic was supplied by the Black Diamonds and extras were played by Airs. Fulton and Airs. Hilton Philps. ATonte Carlo waltzes were won by Airs. Fulton and J. junr., and Aliss L- Stent and partner. During lhe evening the chairman of the School Committee, Mr. P. .F. Brooks, expressed the thanks of the committee to all who had, throughout the season, ioyally supported the functions. He thanked Airs. Goodwin for the continued use of the piano, and especially mentioned the services of lhe members of the orchestra to whom so much of the success of the entertainments was <lue. Air. Brooks asked each member of the orchestra to accept from the committee a small present as an expression of appreciation. Supper was dispensed by the ladies and a very pleasant evening was concluded in the early hours. CHURCH ARMY Ohingaiti district is to be visited by a member of the Church Army Column now in New Zealand and services will be held in All Saints’ Church on the tvenings of Thursday and Friday of this week at 7.30 p.m. and on Sunday next at 2.30 p.m. A service for children will be held after school on Thursday and Friday. PERSONAL Aliss Vivienne Hunt, of Wellington, has taken up duty as infant mistress at the local school. Mr. R. F.
