ROTARY LUNCHEON
A CLUB DAY HELD The riewly-eleeteil president of il>c Wanganui l.otary Club, Rotarian It. L. Thompson, piesided at th© weekly luncheon yesterday, when a club day was held. There was a Lugo muster of members, together with visiting Rotarians and guests. f l he visiting Rotarians were Rotarian K. J. Stewart (Palmerston North), Rotarian ' ■ 11. Redhead (Rotorua), and Rotarian. A. Russell (Wellington). Misses Julio Worry and M. Doolan, Messrs. D. Blight, C. Sharland and P. Stokes were tlw guests of the einb and contiibuted several items. Mr. Blight leading the community singing. On behalf of the Guls’ and Boys' Calf Clubs. Rotarian J. Robb invited Rotarians to l>« prrs.-nt at the annual meeting to take (dace next Tiidn' night. Rotarian Robb said it was hoped to carry the movement still further than at present, and to got pupils leaving school to join up with Young l-'armeis’ Clubs. He hoped tlint. Rotnri nns would he present to malto suggestions. The aim of the clubs was to give the voting people a better in sight into'farming than had been po’ sessed in tbc_past.
