PAREMATA BRIDGE
APPROVED BY RATEPAYERS. [Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, June 29. The proposal to raise a loan of £ll.000 to pay for a bridge across the Porirua Harbour at Paremata and a road from the bridge to Plimmcrton was approved to-day by ratepayers of the Taupo Riding, Hutt County, by 375 votes to 37. Interest, in the project was keen and of the 500 ratepayers who could vote 414 exercised their right. A toll gate is to be erected on the bridge.
