The track was firm and fast. The totalisator for the day handled £5347 10s, against £3895 10s on the same day last year. The total for the meeting was £10,400 10s, against £8437 10s. Dobson Trot.—l Fascination (Shaw) 1. 3 Golden Square (McNeil) 2,2 Trediff (Frost) 3. Earthquake, 7 Coomasie. Length; three lengths. Time, 1.46—a course record. A protest against Giggleswick for boring Haulbowline in the straight was dismissed by the stewards. From a ragged start Haulbowline led Giggleswick, Eaton Hall and White Doe. The order was unchanged to the straight entrance. In the run home Giggleswick won well with White Doe a poor third.
