The Home Secretary, in a circular etter to the chairman of the quarter essions in reference to possible meaures for lessening the number of deaths and injuries by motoring accidents, invites the opinion of magitrates on the suggestion that power hould be available to suspend drivng licenses on the first conviction not nly for reckless or dangerous, driving, driving when under the influence of ■rink, or drunk, but for careless drivng and exceeding the speed limit.
