THE BERET OF 1933
WAY TO WEAR IT. The beret declines to depart, and the atest shapes are trimmed with ramba . outache, perky little coloured quills, ■ind horsehair eye veils for smart occasions, states a Paris correspondent. The latest model, made in black vel- ' etcen, has a distinctly tailored air, "hat makes it particularly adaptable to any fabric. It is quite plain, but. it ias to be worn flat in front and high at ’he back. We simply must cultivate this new manner of wearing all our hats, and not fail to get the oblong look either. Every beret clamps down on the side front of the forehead and rises up at rhe back—or it ought to! This angle cutclasses the side saucer clamp, and after having got accustomed to the ■inc wo shall like it. Some of tho less .»laih models in the beret group are made in worked felt—felt that, has been worked up from narrow strips into a oasket weave pattern. These are invariably ornamented by a contrasting coloured motif, which may be set to point down one side or from the crown and over it toward the front.
