SIR R. SQUIRES RESIGNS. (ST. JOHN’S (Newfoundland) Jure 28. Sir R. Squires resigned on Mr. Alderdice will be sworn ni on Tuesday night. NEW GOVERNMENT SWORN JN Received June 29. 7.5 p.m ST. JOHN’S (Newfoundland), June 28. The Dominion came under the control of the United Newfoundland Party on Tuesday night with Mr F. C. Alderdice as Prime Minister. Members of the new Government were sworn in at 6 p.m. l\Tr Alderdice also ,took the portfolio of Finance and Customs. Other members include: Mr J. C.* Puddester, Secretary of State. Mr L. E. Emerson, Minister of Justice. Mr John Stone, Minister for Marine and Fisheries. Mr W. J. Walsh, Minister of Agriculture. Mr Windsor has been chosen for Posts and Telegraphs and Mr IT. Quinton for Public Works. It is understood that Mr Alderdice will attend the Imperial Conference at Ottawa.
