Dalrymple, chairman of directors, presided over a meeting of shareholders of the Rangitikei Dairy Co., Ltd. on Alonday, when the motion passed previously that the share ratio for the coming season by 6001bs. of butter-fat, instead of 2Uolbs., was confirmed. Little interest was taken in the meeting, and there was a little trouble to obtain a qfiorum of shareholders.

Very heavy rain fell during the week-end, and the Rangitikei and Tutaenui Streams are now flooded. The high winds, coupled with driving rain storms, have done a fa£r amount of damage throughout the district, and stock are feeling the severity of the winter greatly. The locally-trained horses, Air Laddie, Clopton and Havvora, have returned from the Hawke’s Bay circuit, where they met with a fair share of success. Air Laddie finished second in the Winter Hack Handicap at Hastings, fourth in the Settlers’ Hack Handicap, and first in the Newstead Hack Handicap at Napier Park. His stake winnings only amounted to £7O, showing how poor stakes are in those parts. Clopton ran badly in the Hawke’s Bay Hurdles, but when contesting hack hurdle events at Napier Park recorded two close seconds. Stakes won amounted to £2O. Hawora, who is a black filly by Grand Knight from Haupai, ran unplaced in the Trial Plate at Hastings, and in tho Alaiden Scurry at Napier Park, but she finished strongly at tho latter place, and when more experienced may win races.
