ALLEGED THEFT
YOUNG MAN CHARGED [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. John Augustus Jeans, aged 26, butcher, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court with stealing a bag containing a cheque for £54 and £2O in cash, belonging to McLean and Archibald, from Gwendoline Mavis Evans. This was the bag-snatching case reported on Saturday. Jeans was remanded till December 2 on bail.
