FIRE AT WAIMATE
DAIRY COMPANY’S LOSS I Per Press Association. ] WAIMATE, Oct. IS. Fire destroyed the garage and part of tho storeroom of the Waimate Cooperative Dairy Co., containing three lorries, a quantity of timber for butter boxes, and other stores. Tho brigade prevented its spread to the main building, containing valuable plant. Tho lorries were rendered practically useless. The total loss is estimated at about £2900. The lorries are insured for £lOOO and the stores, garage, and box room for £3lO.
