RE-ESTABLISHMENT BILL

INTERESTED PARTIES QUOTA [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Aug. 12. To enable the Disable Soldiers’ Be establishment Bill to bo put into operation the Government has requested that £5OOO be made available by the interested parties before it takes action. The Canteen Trust Fund Board has agreed to find £2OOO, the War Funds Council will provide £l5OO, and the Red Cross Society throughout New Zealand has been asked to provide £l5OO. At a meeting of the executive of th? Wellington branch of the Red Cross Society it was unanimously agreed that the branch contribute its proportionate share towards the sum required. The Canterbury, Auckland and Otago branches are still considering the matter. The Bill provides for facilities being provided for the vocational train ing of disabled or partially disabled soldiers so that they can supplement their pensions.
