Revolver shots fired at a torchlight procession at Cologne started serious rioting in which Communists engaged, necessitating police intervention. The latter fired high in order to scatter the rioters, some of whom replied with rc volvers. The casualties are not yet known, but they are believed to be heavy. Many arrests were made but the firing continues. The public are in a state of terror but the police say that the situations this morning is in hand. At Berlin street lighting has been resumed, the Communists, one of whom has been critically wounded, sniping police from the housetops. A threat ed murder of the police commander was painted on a roadway at Weisscnsce.
