MISSING PROSPECTOR

PARTY’S FUTILE SEARCH. [ Per Press Association. ] NELSON, Aug. 11. A party of six men returned from a futile search for Albert Bromell, who left alone on June 18 for a prospecting expedition on Mount Owen. The searchers had to contend with five to six feet of snow in the bush. They estimated the depth of snow in the basin further on to be twenty feet. It is considered there is no chance of Bromell being alive. It will be fully six weeks befor it will be possible for anyone to proceed from Wangapeka to Owen Valley.
