Q.A.M.R, ‘ At a meeting of the ladies of Waver- .] ley recently, it was decided to give a ball fur the officers of the Queen Alexi undra Mounted Rifles, who will be in i camp at Waverley from June 26 to July ■ I. The date of the dance was fixed foi Wednesday, July 1, in the Waverley Town Hall. All arrangements were made, and the ball should be as popular as in funner years. BRIDGE DRIVE. Last Tuesday evening, a very enjoy able bridge evening was held in St. Stephen’s Hall. There was a very good attendance considering the weather, there being present some sixty players. The hall presented a very cosy appearance, with bowls of flowers placed about the room, and the green covered bridge tables. Prizes were won by Mrs S. Train and Mr G. 11. Graham (top scores) and Miss Bradmoro and Mr S. Train (second highest scores). GOLF. The following team will visit Paten on Saturday when a friendly interclub match will be played:—Bradmore, Muir, Aiken, Craig, F. Johnston, Suus hall, Dallison, G. Spratt, Gray, J. Pepper, Cathie, J. Johnston, R. Palmer, Sampson, Verry, Higinbotliain, Cowdell, Rogers, Dr. Graves, A. Dickie and N. Spratt.
