WAGES REDUCTION ORDER. Af.kNY ASK FOE EXEMPTION. | Per Press Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, June 23. Thirteen applications for exemption from the wages cut order are set out for hearing bv lhe Arbitration Court, which opened to-day, affecting plasterers, plumbers, engineers, clothing trade, bakery, freezing works employees, tally clerks, and tho Timaru watersiders. The first, claim, that by tho Lyttelton tally clerks, will bo commenced tomorrow. An application for partial exemption by the North Canterbury general labourers was withdrawn, it being explained by his Hono r that tho labourers’ award was to bo observed without the cut on all existing contracts.
