ADRIFT IN LAUNCH
PERILOUS EXPERIENCE. [ Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, June 23. Driven 40 miles to sea in a raging storm, with high sens sweeping his 20foot launch, Clifford Glynan, of Aknroa, fisherman, spent an anxious Saturday night and Sunday. For 36 hours he drifted helplessly from the land and arrived back in harbour only at 1 p.m. yesterday, after having mot at tho heads the fleet of fishing craft that was setting out in search of him. His friends feared that he had foundered in tho storm.
