LAMB MARKET EASIER

HIGHER PRICES CHECK DEMAND MUTTON NOT SO FIRM The lamb market is easier. Higher prices slightly checked demand. Mutton market: Wethers and ewes not quite so firm, in sympathy with lambs. Frozen beef is still depressed. New Zealand porker pigs. Demand is small, but owing to light stocks prices better. New Zealand baconer pigs: Nominal prices. Continental bacon is selling at extremely low prices. The above report was received on Saturday by tho New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, from its London office, which advises that the following arc the approximate average prices realised for the week ended June 19, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities o£ the descriptions of meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market, and/or ex London stores.
