OBITUARY
MR A. S. CAMPBELL One of the most efficient officers of the Now Zealand railway service passed away in the Belve.-Ja?? Hospital yesterday in the peyson og Mr A. 8. Campbell, acting-Traffic Manage, at Wanganui. Mr Campbell earn' to Wanganui some five weeks ago ami took over the position of Mr Hartland, who retired on superannuation. He entered the hospital last Saturday week with septicemia which was followed by pleurisy. Mr Campbell had had a most successful career and saw duty in many parts of New Zealand, including Dunedin and Christchurch, while he was stationmaster at Auckland at. the time the new station was opened there recently. He nad been in the railway service for some .”.3 years. The body, which will be interred at Dunedin, where his familv is at present, residing, left for that city by the mid-day train yesterdav.
