WANGANUI PRESBYTERY
MEETING HELD AT MARTON COMMISSIONS OF ELDERS A meeting of the Wanganui Presbytery was held in Marton on Tuesday. The Rev. G. W. Watt (actingmoderator) occupied the chair. Elders’ commissions were received and sustained as follows: St. Andrew’s, Palmertson North: Messrs A. Wylie and W. B. Tenn ent. St. Paul’s, Wanganui: Mr James Grant. St. James’, Wanganui: Mr A. Hopkirk. St. Andrew’s, Wanganui: Mr J. Caird. St. David’s, Palmerston North: Mr 8. Sorenson. Turakina: Mr Evan McGregor. Foxton: A'r A. F. Stevenson. Mangaweka: Mr P. M. Murray. Bulls: Mr A. Lane. Presbytery carried a motion of sympathy with Mr James Grant, of St. Paul’s, in the loss of his wife. Rev. G. T. Brown, M.A., of St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, was elected moderator for the ensuing 12 months. Rev. Hugh Beggs expressed his thanks to the Presbytery for leave of absence during his illness, and assistance in arranging for the supply of his pulpit. After the transaction of Presbytery business delegates to tho recent General Assembly at Wellington, gave their impressions of tho Assembly.
