TE KAWAU RUGBY The question, of boundary between Rangitikei and Te Kawau JSub-v.ions has again been brought up on account of some Tokorangi residents playing for Awahuri in the Te Kawau Subnion’s competitions. The question was a much discussed one when the Te Kawau Sub-Union was first formed, and to clear the matter a confe' jnce was held at Marton. Delegates from Wanganui and Manawatu U’’ons, Rangitikei and Te Kawau Sub-Unions were present at the conference, which was presided over by Mr A. M. Ongley, of Palmerston North. It was pointed out that players residing in the vicinty of Tokorangi had, previous to the formation of the To Kawau Sub-Union, been allowed to plrv in the Rangitikei Sub-Union’s area. To this arrangement the Te Kawau SubUnion offered no objection. It was decided that the boundary should be the Rangitikei River and that players in tho Tokorangi district, an area was defined which tok in Halcombe. and residents of this area, were given permission to play in Rangitikei if they wished to. The area is not in Rangitikei Sub-Union’s district, and if players wished to join a club this side of the river they have a right to do so. The above comment may help to clear away some of the doubts in the matter.
