USEFUL DWARF PLANTS
MIMULUS AND MIGNONETTES. Mimulus is a class of dwarf hardy winter and early spring-flowering plants that delight in moisture and are of 1 special value for present planting for early flowers. They have a charming effect with their finery-spotted and blotched flowers. Magnonettcs, notably the improved giant-flow'ered varieties that produce large heads of sweetly-scented flowers, including the deep red and bright golden yellow, arc the most prized and quite supersede the common old mignonette. They are best grown from seeds sown early in the autumn. The seedlings should now be well forward and starting to flower. They will continue throughout the winter.
