THREAT TO KILL
THE LAW MERCIFUL. [ Ter Pres. Association. ] AUCKLAND, Alay 13. Alexander Lawson AlcLeod Hall, 58, was admitted to two years’ probation for sending a woman a letter containing a threat to kill or harm her two sons. The letter intimated that the writer would induce a Chinese tongs to secure for him tho return of articles which he considered his. The Judge said accused had disparag cd British law, but that law had been \ indicated and yet it could be merciful Prisoner would be ordered to enter into a bond to refrain from further threats.
