FEARS FOR STEAMER
NO REPLY TO RESCUERS Received May 12. II 0 p . m . TOK 10, May 12. The steamer Dairen Maru, returning to Kamchatka from Hakodate, wirelessed that she was in distress off shore at Kuriles. Bad weather, is reported and it is feared that, she has been lost with 1 r crew of 40. A steamer orocceding to the rescue has been unable to obtain a reply.
