Messrs R. A. Gower, T. Chisholm, J. Goodwin and A. Charles, accompanied by Air A. Trevcna, of Palmerston North, have left on a fishing trip to Tokaanu. BULLS GENERAL NEWS Bulls Ping Pong Club will play the first match of the season on Wednesday evening, meeting Flock House, at Bulls. The Bulls team will be as follows: — R. Mansell, T. Afanscll, H. Hendry, A. Signal, Mrs Mansell, Miss I. Walker, Miss S. Walker and Miss Af. Kearney. The Bulls Hockey Club dance on Friday evening was most successful, the attendance being large, he floor in good order, and the supper provided by the club members excellent. The hall was nicely decorated, and everything passed off cnjoyably. The radio programme of dance music from the Palmerston North station, 2ZF, came through splendidly, and was greatly appreciated, while extras were kindly supplied by Miss Kearney and by Messrs C. H. Edwards and W. Dean. A satisfactory amount will be added to the club’s funds, and the committee responsible for the arrangements are to be congratulated on the success of their efforts. A Monte Carlo competition was won by Airs H. Coe and Air J. B. Signal. On Wednesday last the letter box of Air Horace Wilson, “Rotowhero,” on the Bulls-Turakina road, was pillaged, and letter and parcels taken, the wrappers of which were found on the roadside. One letter contained a “not negotiable” cheque for £2 13s, which was cashed at a local hotel in the evening. The police have the matter in hand, and expect to locate the wanted man very soon.
