CONCESSIONS TO FARMERS. A.S.R.S. MEMBERS’ PROTEST. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, De. 15. The following resolution was carried at a meeting of the Hillside branch of the A.S.R.S.:—“That this meeting emphatically protests against the action of the Government in again granting t) farmers free railage on lime and unpayable rates for fertilisers and farm produce. We arc of opinion that this pampered class has been spoon-fed too long at the expense of the general taxpayer, and all concessions to farme’s should be withdrawn unci] a higher standard of living has been received bj wage-earners. ’'
