N.Z. UNION’S SUPPORT DECISION TO MAKE GRANT | Per Tress Association.] WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night agreed that tho game should be encouraged in primary schools and decided to make a grant of £4O to each team competing at the annual tournaments. Tho Taranaki Union wrote asking for a grant of £6O to conduct a quadangular tournament between Hutt Valley. Rangitikei, Horowhcnua and Taranaki. A similar request came from Wairarapa.
The Canadian Rugby Union wrote •uggesting a visit of a Canadian Boys’
team to Now Zealand next season. The letter was referred to the Secondary Schools’ Association.
