GISBORNE SESSIONS. PRISONERS. SENTENCED. [Per Press Association.! GISBORNE, Nov 14. The following prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr Judge Blair: Richard Mauheni, forging a Post Office Savings bank withdrawal slip, three years’ probation. Arthur Ernest Donald, on three charges involving the illegal use of an instrument and unlawfully supplying pills and medicines to a girl under the age of 15 years, also unlawful carnal knowledge in respect of the same girl, three years’ hard labour. Pani Huaki. a young Maori who bad been nominated for the Ministry, on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge, three years’ probation. The Judge commented that notwithstanding what the probation officer said in regard to the latter case, he. was making an exception and hoped tha* the prisoner would prove worthv of it.
