HUMAN FOOTPRINTS
PREHISTORIC MAN DISCOVERIES IN AFRICA [ Australian Press Assn. ] CAPE TOWN, Oct. 1. The Italian, scientific expedition has returned to Bulawayo and reports finding a stone imprint of an enormous human foot at Limpopo. Four imprints were discovered altogether of an unknown man, showing anthropoidic tendencies. The distance from heel to toe was 34 centimetres. The greatest width of the foot was 14 centimetres. The footprints were distinctly of human type probably responsible for the large stone hand axes found in Africa, which have hitherto baffled scientists.
