SCOPE OF ADMINISTRATION [ Per -Press Association ] WELLINGTON, April 16. The scope of administration in the (Department of Transport was outlined to-day by the Minister in charge, the Hon. W. A. Veitch. In reply to a question as to the functions of the new Department of State. Mr Veitch stated that Cabinet had decided that the Department should administer the following Acts and Regulations: Motor Vehicles Act, .1924. and regulations thereunder; Motor Omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder; Lights on Vehicles Act, 1928, dealing with motor lorry regulations and amendments; Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928; Motor Spirits Taxation Act, 1927, and amendments and regulations thereunder; Motor Vehicles Insurance (third party Vukfij Act. 1928-
