NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION MONTHLY COUNCIL MEETING CHAMPIONSHIPS TOK BELMONT? The monthly meeting of the council of the New Zealand Gulf Association was held on Monday. April 15; present: Messrs W. E. A. Gill chairman), W. A. Kiely, Al. J. Crombie, L. O. H. Tripp. A. D. S. Dunean and G. O. Sutton (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Sir Alexander Roberts. Two new clubs were elected member* of this Association, Te Puke Golf Club. Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, and Alanaia Golf Club, Alanaia. With regard to the chainpionshij meeting, it was definitely decided that John Laiubie, the Asso</it ion’s professional, will inspect the Belmont course at Wanganui between Al ay 1 and 3, and it was resolved to fix the time and place of the championship at the next meeting of the Council on Al ay 6. With reference to the Kirk-Windey<*i Cup matches to be played in Alelbournt on August 8, 9. and JO, a sub-commit tee was appointed to recommend to th< Council what players should be asked whether, in the event of selection, th< \ would be able to make the trip. The secretary reported that Johi Lambic has already commenced hi* lour and the appointment of Tom G;* l loway was confirmed for the clubs the far north which last year we coached by James Watt.
