TOWN BOARD MEETING. (Special “Chronicle” Service.) The usual monthly meeting was held on Tuesday eveTiiig. Present: Messrs A. _Mi.lner, J. Graham, R. Dickson, W. Watson, and G. Toms. The minutes of the previous meeting were read ami confirmed. | A letter was -received from the Boy Seoul Committee, asking for permission to hold a sale of Hags on or about December 22. Permission wa.< granted. \V. A. Officer wrote, asking the Board to assist with the fencing of water way through his property. The clerk staled that such water-way was, according to the valuation roll, Crown. After some discussion it was left in the hands of the clerk to write the Commissioner of Crown Lands to ascertain if such land had at any time been vested in the Town Board. The clerk was instructed to order speed notices, etc. Accounts passed for payment: £156 5s Bd, Town Board; £3 10s, Library. A meeting of the Domain Board was held last week: Present: Messrs A. .Milnor, W. Watson, J. Graham, R. Dickson and G. Toms. Messrs Milner and Dickson reported that they had looked over the ground where a suitable track could be put through the Domain to the river; it was moved by Mr Graham, and seconded by Mr Toms, that such track be Accounts were passed for payment. Engineer’s Report. —The plant at the power station has continued to run satisfactorily, having generated 4544 units. The [lumping plant still remains in good repair, having pumped 100,006 gallons; the gravitation supply also has jbeen giving good service. The wiring department has been kept very busy with several extensions to consumers’ installations and general repairs. During a heavy gale a pole was blown down, and a new one has been erected. The revenue from the Electrical Department was £lOO 3s 2d. A meeting of the Cemetery Board was held last week. The previous minutes were read and confirmed. Accounts were passed for payment.
