LECKIE AGAIN
KNOCKS OUT VERCOE BOUT AT BLENHEIM [ Per Press Association 1 BLENHEIM, Oct. IL Johnny Jeckie (8.13), of Dunedin, knocked out Dicky Vercoe (9.0), of Blenheim, to-night at the end of the sixth round of a scheduled ten-round professional bout. Vercoe was on the defensive all through and was too slow for his clever opponent. The Blenheim boy adopted the crouch ami when he did open out he missed badly against Leckie’s clever footwork. The champion won every round and in the . sixth finished Vercoe with a short right hook to the point.
