TERRIBLE INJURIES
ENGLISH BOY’S MISFORTUNE. [ Per Press Association » GISBORNE, Oct. 11. An English schoolboy, Robin Bruce, aged 23. was terribly injured at Mokowiwi Station on the East Coast this morning through being caught in the belt of a shearing shed engine. When the belt came off his leg became entangled and he was *hrown right across the shed, one leg being torn off at the hip. The other is believed to be broken. Bruce, who is a recent arrival, is in a critical condition, but he never lost consciousness.
